Goodbye 2012

I know that this has been a pretty crappy year for a lot of people I know, but for us it’s ended up as a big life-changer!

Here’s the mighty bump at 35 weeks and six days:

Happy New Year, everybody! Thanks for being so excited for us as we start this amazing adventure. 2013 promises to be HUGE!

  1. Wow, it is a marvellous feat of biological engineering!
Sounds silly, but as uncomfortable as you are now, there will be times you miss it when it’s gone.

Good luck over the next few weeks x

    1. Hmmm – I’ll miss not feeling obliged to hold in my tummy, but that’s probably about it! And yes, every day when I see myself in the mirror I find myself saying “how is this even possible?!”

  2. I agree Catriona, I really missed feeling the baby move. But wow it will be great to get back to having your body be just yours, Jacq. Here’s hoping for a nice, uneventful, not very humid, not very hot last two weeks!

    1. I have enjoyed feeling the two of them move until fairly recently – now, it really does feel like they’re trying to bust out, the little rascals!

I can’t even imagine how great it’s going to be to be able to lie on my stomach again, bend over easily, stand up without feeling like my knees are about to give way under my massive weight… it will be wonderful!!

    1. Yay – 13 sleeps, as of today!! I think I’m likely to go into major freak-out mode when we’ve got fewer than ten days to go, so you should all brace yourselves for that…

      1. By the way – I sent a link to this post to my BFF back home, Karri. We were on the phone last night and I mentioned you, and Karri said she agrees with me that you look fabulous. So you have more people over here excited for you and Tristan than you even knew!
